IDEAL PLM, a Nordic channel partner for Siemens PLM Software, providing product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions, is expanding its value proposition further to provide solutions that support companies’ digitalization strategy. IDEAL PLM has a wealth of experience dealing with manufacturers ranging from multinational heavy-weights to smaller niche providers, having successfully served the industrial sector for many years. Now this experience is enhancing value to customers through IDEAL PLM developing its own software solutions to complement its partner’s, Siemens PLM Software’s, product range. This approach is more aligned to customers’ needs and allows flexibility through IDEAL PLM’s own software development.

Solution to merge product’s commercial and technical definitions

Increasing number of products, services and their variants create a situation where it becomes difficult or even impossible to understand the complete picture of a company’s product and service offering without a central location for this information. Related information ranging from engineering data to sales material and even sales performance figures is often stored in silos, which makes Product Management challenging. Combining the commercial definition with traditional engineering data enables effective analysis and decision making across the entire product portfolio taking into account both aspects – the engineered solution and the commercial definition.

Commercial Product Management (CPM)

The company is expanding into a new business area, in which it develops, provides and supports a solution that allows industrial companies unique commercial product information insight.

IDEAL PLM will be launching Commercial Product Management (CPM) application. Commercial Product Management extends Teamcenter® software capabilities from the traditional engineering domain towards commercial product management by providing unique insight for an entire organization into how the technical products evolve into commercial products. CPM enables the definition of commercial aspects, such as market segmentation, for current, future or past products thus enabling an organization to understand the breadth of their commercial product portfolio for better decisions in active portfolio management and new product introduction.

Connecting with the industry and network

IDEAL PLM will be presenting the solution at PLM Europe – Siemens PLM Connection, the user group event for Siemens PLM Software solutions users across Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA), 29th-31st October 2018, in Berlin. The solution will be on show at the IDEAL PLM stand and it will be presented on stage on Wednesday 31st October at 9:00.
