New Siemens Opcenter MOM portfolio
The release of Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete 3.0
Siemens has announced the brand new Siemens Opcenter MOM portfolio (Manufacturing Operations Management). The new version integrates the MOM portfolio and creates user-friendly and industry-specific solutions to support high quality production.
Challenges with Discrete manufacturing
Discrete Manufacturing is often characterized by limited volume and very high in complexity. New markets, new materials, and new technologies require a sustained increase in plant-efficiency and productivity as well as extreme flexibility in all manufacturing processes. Critical for these industries is the ability to improve production quality and time-to-market speed while cutting costs.
Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete 3.0
Siemens Opcenter Execution is the first release of solutions within the Siemens Opcenter MOM portfolio. These MES solutions are available off the shelf with industry-specific capabilities to support the unique manufacturing requirements. MES solutions include industry-specific capabilities to support the customer's unique production requirements. The new version provides powerful Manufacturing Execution capabilities that ensure greater process-flexibility and efficiency, complete integration of regulatory and quality requirements, synchronized production processes for optimal supply-chain management, and sustained reductions in maintenance and operation costs.
Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete addresses the specific needs of the discrete industries. This version is designed for different manufacturing types, like complex assembly manufacturing and job-shop environments or automated repetitive manufacturing industries. The solution can be implemented for automotive or aerospace and defense tier suppliers, energy and utilities, industrial machinery and heavy equipment, home appliances, complex parts manufacturing and assembly.
This version enables workforce empowerment, production efficiency, and flexibility and extensibility focusing on integration, connectivity and synchronization along with visibility and traceability of operations and materials.
This is possible thanks to features such as:
• interactive operator guidance through operator landing page
• integrated manufacturing and quality execution
• advanced configurability and modeling of production process and products
• Enhanced work-in-progress visibility
• Restyled user experience (UX)
